I’m a teaching postdoc at North Carolina State University in the Biotechnology Program. My background is in microbiology and infectious diseases. I now teach molecular biology courses and bioethics and have also developed a metagenomics lab module. While I have known about case studies since my days at Emory, I really don’t know how to use them well or develop new ones. With my new interest in microbial genomics and bioethics, I would like to develop case studies tailored to upper-level and graduate students combining aspects of genomics, personalized medicine, and the ethical implications of these technologies.

Let’s start with some existing ones that you can adapt. And at the meeting in our breakouts we can share ideas about how people use cases.
I will post some notes and perhaps we can start a discussion?
